RITTICH GETS THE CALL
A non-COVID illness has Connor Hellebuyck not taking part of the tonight's game for the Jets, so David Rittich will get his second consecutive start in goal. Rittich played his best game as a Jet on Sunday against the Seattle Kraken, with his team playing their second game in as many nights. Rittich made 31 saves on 34 shots and held the Jets in the game especially in the third when Seattle made a big push.

HEINOLA GETS A SHOT
Ville Heinola will get his third game of the season with the Jets replacing Kyle Capobianco in the lineup tonight against Ottawa. Heinola will skate with Dylan Samberg on the team's third defence pairing and will also get some power play time on the second unit. Heinola has played well in the American Hockey League and the Manitoba Moose, and his confidence seems to have grown in the two games he has played with the Jets in 2022-23.
SCHEIF SCORING
Mark Scheifele has four goals in his past four games to reach 19 on the season. He's halfway to his career best 38 goals, which he did during the 2018-19 season. He's on pace for exactly 50 goals, which has only been done twice in franchise history (Ilya Kovalchuk in 2005-06 and 2007-08).
