MORE FROM MORRISSEY
The Jets defenceman received a nice honour from the NHL on Monday as the league's second star of the week with his seven-point performance (three goals and four assists). Morrissey leads the Jets in scoring with 23 points in 20 games and is currently fourth amongst defencemen in the NHL. Morrissey and Dylan DeMelo have been reunited since DeMelo returned from his upper body injury on Friday in Dallas. Morrissey will be counted on tonight to not only provide offence but to go up against the Nathan MacKinnon line with the Colorado Avalanche in town to start this four game homestand.

PROMOTION FOR BARRON
Morgan Barron returned from a ten-game absence to record an assist and play over 11 minutes in the Jets win over Chicago on Sunday night. Barron played on the fourth line against the Blackhawks but will get bumped up to play with Kyle Connor and Pierre-Luc Dubois against Colorado tonight. Rick Bowness feels he's reliable on both ends of the ice and while he's still young in terms of his NHL experience, the Jets coaching staff believes he belongs in the top six forward group. That means the Axel Jonsson-Fjallby will return to the third line with Adam Lowry and Saku Maenalanen. David Gustafsson returns tonight and will replace Dominic Toninato as the team's fourth line centre.
CONNOR HEATING UP
After having four points (1G, 3A) in nine games in October, last season's leading scorer Kyle Connor has 16 points (7G, 9A) in 11 games in November so far to lead the team. Connor has six of his eight goals this season in his past six games and has scored in three consecutive games for the first time this season. Five of his 11 games in November have been multi-point outings.
