WINNIPEG, March 20, 2022 - The Winnipeg Jets announced today they have acquired forward Morgan Barron, two conditional second-round picks (conditions listed below), and a fifth-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft from the New York Rangers in exchange for forward Andrew Copp and a sixth-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft. The Jets also announced they have assigned Barron to the AHL's Manitoba Moose.
- Conditional second-round pick A: Rangers' 2022 second-round pick; becomes Rangers' 2022 first-round pick if the Rangers advance to the Eastern Conference Final and Copp plays in at least 50 percent of their playoff games.
- Conditional second-round pick B: either St. Louis 2022 second-round pick or Rangers' 2023 second-round pick.
