OTTAWA -Standing between the Winnipeg Jets and matching a season-high four-game win streak is the Ottawa Senators, who the Jets will face twice in the span of the next few days.
Despite the fact the Jets (25-13-3) have won five of their six meetings with the Senators this season, none of those victories came easily.
Case in point, the most recent match-up between the two clubs exactly a week ago at Bell MTS Place.
The Jets built a 4-1 lead through 40 minutes, but hung on for a 4-3 victory.
"Sometimes, when you play a young team, if you can get on them a little bit and you can seize that momentum. But the opposite is true for you," said Jets head coach Paul Maurice. "They can get on those fast momentum rolls, if they score a goal, or they get a bunch of pucks to your net, their game really speeds up."
