This is the gameday hub, where you can find all the latest news and information related to this evening's Metropolitan Division bout between the Carolina Hurricanes and Columbus Blue Jackets in one handy location. Make this a regular stop throughout the day, as we update it with notes, photos and more as puck drop draws near.
In a back-to-back situation with an early-evening 5 p.m. puck drop, the Hurricanes will not hold a morning skate, but we'll be passing along any and all gameday-centric updates, as always.

CANES LINES: WARM-UPS
4:40 p.m.
As promised, head coach Bill Peters has made some changes to the Hurricanes' lineup for tonight: it's three in and three out, as Ty Rattie, Klas Dahlbeck and Ryan Murphy draw in for Teuvo Teravainen, Noah Hanifin and Matt Tennyson. And, as expected, Michael Leighton gets the start in net.

1. Play With an Edge
The Hurricanes shouldn't forget the Pittsburgh game. Instead use it as motivation to play a full 60 minutes against Columbus. Sometimes playing angry is a good thing, especially when trying to get to the front of the net.
2. Control That Anger
Play with an edge and be feisty, but don't take silly penalties. A penalty of aggression is one thing, but not a penalty of retaliation. While the Canes have shut down the No. 1 power play unit in the league, don't give them a spark by taking a needless penalty. Remember he who hits first rarely gets the penalty.
3. Hold On to the Puck
Turnovers in the NHL end up in grade-A chances now. Being smart with and strong on the puck is needed against Columbus.
CANES TO MAKE LINEUP TWEAKS

Changes are coming to the Hurricanes' lineup this evening, but head coach Bill Peters did not provide specifics just yet.
"Poor play," he said of Friday night's loss. "Not engaged physically, not engaged mentally."
A point of contention last night was the Canes' lack of compete in and around the crease. Peters expounded on that again today.
"It's 100 percent a mindset," he said. "Dig in at [their] end and defend your end with passion."
We'll have lineup specifics at warm-ups.
CANES EYE REVENGE IN COLUMBUS
6:00 a.m.
Less than 24 hours after suffering their most lopsided loss of the season, the Carolina Hurricanes will be back on the ice with a shot at redemption.
Redemption, one, from their 7-1 defeat at the hands of the Pittsburgh Penguins, just the Canes' second regulation loss in their last 17 games at home.
"We'll suit up at 4 tomorrow for warm-ups, get back out there and get a win," Ron Hainsey said after Friday night's game. "There's not much we will take from that one that we will want to replicate any time in the near future."
"The team that worked the hardest tonight won the game," head coach Bill Peters said. "We've got to get back to having a little bit more semblance of our identity."
Redemption, also, from their 4-1 loss to these same Blue Jackets in Columbus earlier this week. This marks the third time these two Metropolitan Division foes face off in the span of 12 days, and this is the rubber match of that sequence. The Hurricanes scored a 5-3 win over the Blue Jackets at home last Tuesday.
"That's game three," Peters said. "Each team's got one, so we'll see who gets the next one."
Despite the pair of losses this week, the Hurricanes find themselves just a point out of a wild card spot in the Eastern Conference with three games remaining until the All-Star break.
"We need to bounce back," Skinner said. "We've got to get back to playing the way we play - play fast, making strong plays and playing together."
The Hurricanes are likely to turn to Michael Leighton in net. Leighton started back-to-back games in Charlotte this week and didn't relieve Ward in Friday's blowout loss. Other lineup changes are pending.
