GEOFF WARD ON 'KILLER INSTINCT':

"I don't really think about killer instinct that much to be honest with you. We just talk about getting to our game and when we do that, if gives us a good chance to win. We focus on the process all the time. We're not asking the guys to do extraordinary things. ... This is an emotional time, but it's also a time that you really have to be focused on our execution. We're just worried about ourselves and getting to our game, and the rest will take care of itself."

"Let's get prepared to play our best game"

ON TAKEAWAYS FROM GAME 3:

"I thought we handled the moments of the game a lot better. I thought we handled the emotions of the game a lot better. ... We got contributions from a lot of different people and that has to continue as we get ready for Game 4. In saying all that, that's just one game. At this time of the year, it's nice when you get to play a good hand. But sometimes it's about playing a bad hand well. We have to be prepared for all situations right now."

ON FACING DESPERATE JETS:

"We know that they're going to come out with their best game and we've got to be prepared for that. But the challenge for us - and we say this every day - 'Let's get ready to play our best game.' ... We're all looking forward - as I'm sure you all are - to the game tomorrow night."

ON IDEA OF NHL ADOPTING BEST-OF-FIVE FORMAT:

"I don't think they should. I like the format with all series' being a best of seven, for a variety of different reasons. I do have experience playing in shorter series' ... the best of five is not new (to me). Obviously it has a few different wrinkles in the best-of-seven. I enjoy the format with the way it is as a best-of-seven and I think the NHL should stick with that."

ANDREW MANGIAPANE ON HIS STELLAR PLAY:

"In this league you've got to have confidence in yourself, confidence in your game, your teammates, your linemates. When you're going out there and your teammates are helping you out on an off the ice, it makes it easier for you to play. I've got to give thanks to all my teammates. They've helped me along this whole season. It's fun right now playing. It's fun, it's exciting, it's the playoffs. You want to keep that going."

"That killer instinct has to come out"

DEREK RYAN ON FIRST THREE GAMES:

"Playoffs are a unique thing because every single night, every single game is a unique game. You can't ... every effort is going to be different and guys are trying to bring it every single night. There's a lot of emotion that goes into every game and guys are trying to battle through. ... It's about coming together as a group for 60 minutes every night and I think we've done a good job of that so far. I'm happy with our group."

ON 'KILLER INSTINCT':

"I think goes hand in hand with playoff experience. That gets talked about a lot. Some guys on our team have some, but not a ton. Whatever level in hockey, whether it's the NHL or junior, guys have played in the playoffs, have played in that playoff atmosphere and that killer instinct has to come out. It's kind of cliche but they say the last win is the hardest to get because the other team had their backs against the wall. You want to come out in those first 10 minutes and try to kill the will of the other team."
