HUBERDEAU ON THE OT LOSS:

ON CLOSING TEAMS OUT:

"We had a lot of shots in the first, created some chances. But in the third, we had, what, one shot? That's not our team. We let these guys come at us. ... I think we've got to keep the pedal down. Obviously, you're going to be a bit tired in the third. But if you want to make the playoffs, we need these points."

ON FATIGUE PLAYING A FACTOR:

"We're in the NHL. We're supposed to be able to play back-to-back and not be tired. It's part of it, but at this point in the year, you've got to give it your all."

ON PLAYOFF RACE:

"We need to catch these teams in front of us. I feel we have to give a bit more ... and focus on Colorado on Saturday."

BACKLUND ON 60-MINUTE EFFORT:

"We talked about having a good start and we did. I thought we played really well in the first ... but we sat back a little too much in the third and lost the game.
"We talked about it all year, you've got to play 60 minutes if you want to win a game. And we didn't do it again tonight.
"It's on us leaders in the group to stop that and get back to the checking part. We didn't do that tonight."

PELLETIER ON HOW IT PLAYED OUT:

"It's not good. If you want to win, you've got to play 60 minutes. Tonight, we played 40, I think.
"We just kind of sat back."

SUTTER'S THOUGHTS:

"We had a really good start. I think fatigue caught up to us a little bit. Second goal, our goalie would like to have that back, for sure. At 3-1, you'd like to take that as far into the period as you could."

ON DECISION TO START VLADAR:

"Win and you're in. That's what we did with Marky last time, too."

ON BACKLUND'S CHANGE IN OT:

"I think he probably thought Eichel was going to change, too. Take it back. They were both at the end of their shift. I think Eichel probably saw that and made the next play."
