MONTREAL – Take me out to... the hockey game?

Canadiens forward Cole Caufield arrived at the Bell Centre for Saturday’s game against the Columbus Blue Jackets wearing the jersey of MLB's 2025 NL Rookie of the Year, Atlanta Braves catcher Drake Baldwin.

Caufield and Baldwin were former U14 teammates on the ice for Team Wisconsin, both having played youth hockey and baseball in the Badger State before sticking to their respective sports. It was a perfectly-timed play between the pair, as Baldwin likewise arrived at Truist Park in Atlanta for Saturday’s Braves game wearing the jersey of his former teammate—and making a “50” hand gesture in honor of Caufield’s recent goals milestone.

The sports crossovers keep coming for the Canadiens. Earlier this season, fellow Midwest Hab Lane Hutson rocked a Green Bay Packers jersey to the arena during the NFL playoffs in support of hometown pal Lukas Van Ness.
