WINNIPEG - The Bruins are looking to get back on track Thursday night at the Canada Life Centre as they visit the Winnipeg Jets in the third of a five-game road trip, and the last game before they enter a back-to-back weekend with the Minnesota Wild and Buffalo Sabres.
Here's everything you need to know ahead of the 8:00 p.m. ET puck drop on NESN and 98.5 The Sports Hub:

Getting Back on Track

The B's have lost three of their last four games, and two in a row in regulation for the first time this season. "It's about being honest and talking about the consistency of what we've talked about all year," said coach Jim Montgomery. "What we value in the last four games, we haven't hit three of our objectives that we think are really important."
Montgomery covered all the bases with communication, and is ready to get back to the Bruins' way. "I think we just had some honest communication [Wednesday] on the plane," said Montgomery. "As a staff we talked, and then I talked to the captains and then we addressed the group today and we got a lot of feedback from them as to where we are and what's causing this malaise."
As for what may be causing the Bruins to look off beat, the time of the season does appear to be playing a role, according to Montgomery. "It coincided with the day we clinched playoffs and just players honest feedback, which I really value was, 'you know, we've never been in a situation where 20 games left and you've clinched a playoff spot,'" said Montgomery. "It's human nature to take your foot off the gas pedal. And that's what's happened to us... and we're trying to find the right message all together to put our foot back on the gas."
Patrice Bergeron also spoke with the media ahead of the matchup with the Jets on Thursday night, noting that the team just needs to get back to following the process. "Adversity is always good, it makes you stronger as a team and individually as well," said Bergeron. "I think we have to be better as far as our process, I think we got away from that...results fall in place when you take care of your process and details."

Lineup Note

Connor Clifton will be the defenseman out on Thursday night, putting Brandon Carlo back in to skate with Hampus Lindholm and Connor Clifton as the healthy scratch. Jeremy Swayman will get the start in net.

Opposing View

  • The Jets currently sit fourth in the Central Division with a record of 38-27-3. Winnipeg is returning home from a successful road trip, after beating the Florida Panthers in OT and the Tampa Bay Lightning in regulation, but closed the trip with a 5-3 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.
  • Kyle Connor leads the Jets with 27 goals and 46 assists for 73 points in 68 games.
  • Defenseman Josh Morrissey will return to the Jets lineup tonight after missing their last two games with a lower-body injury.
  • The Bruins got the win, 3-2, over Winnipeg back in December in Boston.
