BLUES The Blues will get Brayden Schenn back in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Anaheim Ducks. Schenn is expected to be skating with Ryan O'Reilly and Vladimir Tarasenko on the top line.
Schenn's return comes at the perfect time for the Blues, who haven't been scoring many goals in his absence. In the six games without Schenn, the Blues have just nine goals and have gone 2-3-1. In the 11 games before that, the Blues scored 43 goals and were 11-0-0.
The Blues will look to rebound from back-to-back regulation losses Wednesday as they begin a three-game road trip to California, The last time the Blues had lost back-to-back games in regulation was Dec. 29-31.
DUCKSThe Anaheim Ducks snapped a five-game losing streak with a 2-1 win against the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday.
Jakob Silfverberg had a goal and an assist in the game, while John Gibson made 25 saves for the Ducks.
"It was a great team effort," Ducks Assistant Coach Mark Morrison said. "Everybody did their job and there were no passengers."
Anaheim, who once held a playoff spot in the West, has fallen to second-to-last place in the conference. The Ducks find themselves 12 points behind Minnesota for the final Wild Card spot as of Tuesday afternoon.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
Wednesday's matchup will be the third and final meeting between the clubs in the regular season. The teams have split the season series thus far, with each team winning on the road.
In the last meeting on Jan. 23, the Blues beat Anaheim 5-1 to begin their franchise-record 11-game winning streak.
Since that last meeting, Randy Carlyle has been relieved his duties behind the bench and General Manager Bob Murray has taken over the coaching duties.
