ST. LOUIS -- Brayden Schenn scored 1:04 into overtime to give the St. Louis Blues their fifth straight win, 4-3 against the Los Angeles Kings at Enterprise Center on Sunday.

Schenn took a stretch pass from Pavel Buchnevich along the left boards, skated into the zone and beat David Rittich with a wrist shot from the left circle that went in off the post.

"You just take off whenever you see a turnover in overtime,” Schenn said. “You just take off. Whether he gets you the puck or not, you just create space for him if he is going to carry it up. He's got great vision and he found me."

Jordan Kyrou had a goal and two assists, Buchnevich had a goal and an assist, and Scott Perunovich had two assists for the Blues (26-20-2), who have won three straight in overtime. Joel Hofer made 30 saves.

St. Louis won 4-3 for the fourth game in a row.

"We're finding a way to win, which is great," Kyrou said. "... It's more of a mentality than anything. We're playing really strong as a team. We always have each other's backs out there. We're playing together on the ice. That builds character, and we've shown a lot of resiliency these past couple games."

Phillip Danault, Adrian Kempe and Jaret Anderson-Dolan scored for the Kings (22-15-10), who have lost 14 of 16 (2-8-6). Rittich made 28 saves.

"Everybody's going to feel a little different about it," Los Angeles coach Todd McLellan said. "I think we played a pretty solid game. We take those penalties out. We got roasted on a bad line change. That can be cleaned up. You take that out and cut the penalties back, I think we had a good chance of winning, but we didn't do that."

Kempe made it 1-0 at 4:06 of the first period when Anze Kopitar found him in the left circle for a one-timer after Blues forward Jake Neighbours failed to clear the puck along the wall.

Leddy tied it 1-1 at 12:51 with a slap shot from the high slot.

Anderson-Dolan scored his first goal of the season short-handed to give Los Angeles a 2-1 lead at 5:39 of the second period. He put in a rebound at the top of the crease off a 3-on-2 rush.

Buchnevich tied it 2-2 just 55 seconds later on the same power play with a one-timer from the left circle at 6:34.

"They score a short-handed goal and our power play comes back quick and is able to score," St. Louis coach Drew Bannister said.

Kyrou gave the Blues their first lead at 12:07 when he scored a wrist shot from the high slot off a touch pass by Perunovich to make it 3-2.

Danault skated through the right circle and beat Hofer with a wrist shot from the slot to tie it 3-3 at 18:44 after winning a puck off the wall.

The Kings had to kill six minor penalties in the game to the Blues' one and it threw off Los Angeles' rhythm.

"The PK did a good job, way too many penalties, including myself," Kings forward Trevor Moore said. "We played a pretty good game tonight, but it's not enough. We can't be making the mistakes like taking penalties. We need to close out some overtime games and come away with some wins."
