Former St. Louis Blues players Pat Maroon and Mike Zuke, along with team minority owner Donn Lux, will be inducted into the St. Louis Amateur Hockey Hall of Fame on Saturday, Aug. 15 at the St. Charles Convention Center.
Maroon, a St. Louis native, spent the 2018-19 season with the Blues and played a key role in helping the team capture the first Stanley Cup in franchise history. Maroon sent the Blues to the Western Conference final with one of the most memorable goals in franchise history - a double-overtime game-winner in Game 7 of the team’s second-round series against the Dallas Stars. The “hometown hero” would follow up with two more Stanley Cups, capturing them with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2020 and 2021.
Zuke played five seasons with the Blues from 1978-83 and became one of the team’s top playmakers in the early 1980s. He was drafted by the Blues in 1974 and recorded 58 goals and 126 assists (184 points) in 296 games with St. Louis. Since retiring, Zuke has coached 16U AAA hockey in St. Louis, along with the St. Louis Jr. Blues. He will be inducted into the St. Louis Amateur Hockey Hall of Fame as a coach.
Lux, a St. Louis-area business leader, joined Tom Stillman’s all-local ownership group in 2012 and helped keep the team under local ownership during a pivotal time in franchise history. Beyond helping provide the Blues with financial stability, Lux has also supported the team’s charitable efforts, serving on the board of Blues for Kids while also contributing to youth hockey and community initiatives in the St. Louis area. Lux will join the St. Louis Amateur Hockey Hall of Fame as a builder.
