The Columbus Blue Jackets to host the first of four Jackets Jukebox games on Saturday, Oct. 17, when the team welcomes the New York Rangers to Nationwide Arena. The new series combines Blue Jackets hockey with music-inspired themes, live performances and unique fan experiences throughout the arena. The theme for the evening, "I Want My CBJ," is a nostalgic tribute to the iconic "I Want My MTV" era of the 1980s, celebrating MTV 45th anniversary in 2026.
The night will feature themed activities throughout the concourse, including interactive photo opportunities and additional surprises celebrating one of music's most memorable decades.
Fans can enjoy live performances from The Breakfast Club, a live 80s tribute band, which will perform on the arena concourse before puck drop, during intermissions and following the game. One of the nation’s premier 1980s tribute bands, The Breakfast Club is set to deliver a high-energy experience packed with the decade’s most iconic hits.
Before fans hit the arena, they can hit the merch table to get some fresh fits. Available online through the Blue Line Team Store beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday Oct. 16, and in-store and at the game on Saturday, Oct. 17, the limited-edition “I Want My CBJ” T-Shirt features Stinger in a retro rock design straight out of the golden age of music television.
Priced at $29.99, each shirt purchase also includes a free “I Want My CBJ” 4-pack guitar pick set, themed sticker and a Jackets Jukebox tote bag.
