THREE STARS: Boqvist, Entwistle battle in CHL playoffs

Here are this week's Three Stars.

FIRST STARD Adam Boqvist (London)THE NUMBERS: 4 GP, 6 G, 1 A
It shouldn't be a surprise that Adam Boqvist is surging with the CHL playoffs underway. The top prospect in the Blackhawks organization has been a Three Stars regular with impressive performances down the stretch in London. Boqvist earned CHL Player of the Week honors following his performance in a first-round sweep of the Windsor Spitfires. The 18-year-old racked up six goals and added an assist to give him seven points in four games against Windsor. After his four-goal performance gave the Knights a commanding 3-0 lead in the series, Boqvist bagged two more in Game 4 last Thursday to help London finish off the sweep.

SECOND STARRW MacKenzie Entwistle (Guelph)THE NUMBERS: 4 GP, 2 G, 3 A
Waiting for Boqvist and the Knights in the second round will be the Guelph Storm and fellow Blackhawks prospect MacKenzie Entwistle. The 19-year-old Entwistle will be looking to cap off a whirlwind season with some hardware. After his rights were traded from Arizona to the Blackhawks in the offseason, Entwistle himself was moved at the OHL deadline from Hamilton to Guelph, where has buoyed the Storm from day one. He carried a six-game point streak through Guelph's sweep of the Kitchener Rangers last week, scoring the opening goal in Thursday's decisive Game 4 win.
THIRD STARC Maxim ShalunovTHE NUMBERS: 13 GP, 3 G, 5 A (#1 CSKA Moscow tied 2-2 with #2 SKA St. Petersburg)
Across the ocean, Blackhawks prospect Maxim Shalunov has helped spark one of the giants of European hockey on a deep postseason run. Shalunov has three goals and five assists for CSKA Moscow in their Gagarin Cup playoff campaign, as his club battles SKA Saint Petersburg in the Western Conference. Drafted in 2011, the 26-year-old Shalunov has only seen his stock rise since electing to return to Russia after a cup of coffee in the AHL. Earning a contract with the most popular team in the country, Shalunov's deal with CSKA Moscow will expire in 2020, when he could offer the Blackhawks value as an NHL-ready center.
ROCKFORD REPORT:
The IceHogs find themselves in an AHL playoff traffic jam, with four teams within a point of the final playoff spot in the Central Division. A comeback win over San Antonio on Tuesday was crucial to Rockford's playoff hopes, as Will Pelletier scored two goals in 13 seconds in the third period to bring the IceHogs level on home ice. Dylan Sikura scored what would prove to be the game-winner in his first appearance back in Rockford, as the IceHogs pulled away for a massive 5-3 win.
