The Blackhawks made a late comeback bid as Alex DeBrincat scored twice in a two-minute span in the third, but the Nashville Predators took a 3-2 victory at the United Center on Sunday night, sweeping the two-game weekend set.
Pius Suter notched an assist on both DeBrincat tallies and Malcolm Subban made stops in the loss.

The Predators took an early lead for the second straight night, this time as Viktor Arvidsson banked a shot in from behind the goal. The Nashville forward blocked a clearing attempt by Malcolm Subban, circled behing the net and put a feed off Calvin de Haan's skate at the side of the net and in for a 1-0 advantage.

1st - 18:30 - Calle Jarnkrok (Mattias Ekholm, Luke Kunin)

Nashville got another skate deflection goal before the period's end as Mattias Ekholm circled behind the Chicago net, spun and threw a shot towards goal that deflected off the skate of Calle Jarnkrok in front and in for a 2-0 lead.

3rd - 7:35 - Alex DeBrincat (Patrick Kane, Pius Suter)

The Blackhawks halved the Predators lead just before the midpoint of the third period as Patrick Kane slid a cross-zone feed to Alex DeBrincat just below the near-side dot. The winger put the deflected pass top shelf on a one-time shot to get Chicago on the board.

Alex DeBrincat pulled things level less than two minutes later with a fantastic individual effort on the finish. Flying into the zone on the wall, he turned the corner on a Nashville defenseman and pulled the puck across the face of goal before burying a shot to make it a 2-2 game.

Nashville regained the lead a short time later as Roman Josi notched his third of the year. Off a defensive-zone turnover by Chicago, Eeli Tolvanen tee'd up Josi in the high slot and the Predators captain put a quick wrister past the glove of Malcolm Subban for the late lead.
