After starting the Memorial Cup tournament with a strong victory, the Seattle Thunderbirds couldn't keep with the Quebec Remparts as they fell, 3-1.

Blackhawks prospect Nolan Allan helped put the Thunderbirds on the board late in the third to cut the Remparts' lead in half. In the last two games, the 2021 NHL draft pick has recorded two goals in the last two contests.

Fellow Chicago prospect Kevin Korchinski added an extra help to his teammates' goal for his second assist of the tournament. He finished the night with three shots on goal and as a minus-two.

As for prospect Colton Dach, he went 6-fot-11 on faceoff wins with seven shots on goal, two penalty minutes and as a minus-one.

Seattle will play their third game of the tournament on Wednesday night against the Kamloops Blazers with an 8 p.m. CT puck drop. The last time these two teams faced each other in this year's WHL Western Conference Final, the Thunderbirds took the series at 4-2.

The Thunderbirds currently tied at 1-1-0-0 in the Memorial Cup standings. If a tiebreaker is needed, then that game would be played on Thursday before the semifinal match on Friday.
