The Blackhawks continue their road trip onto San Jose, still looking for their first victory on the year.

LAST GAME

On Thursday, the Blackhawks fell 1-0 to the Golden Knights in Vegas. Jarred Tinordi led the club with five hits while Connor Murphy posted a team-high four blocked shots. Alex Stalock made 36 saves on 37 shots which tied for the fifth-most saves by a goalie this season.

VS. SAN JOSE

The Blackhawks went 1-2-0 against the San Jose Sharks during the 2021-22 campaign ... Patrick Kane has nine points (3G, 6A) in his last seven matchups against the Sharks ... Andreas Athanasiou has consecutive multi-point efforts in his last two games against the Sharks (2G, 2A) ... Max Domi has assists in his last three games against San Jose (3A).

HIT ME WITH YOUR BEST SHOT

The Blackhawks recorded 41 hits on Thursday night at Vegas and now have 74 hits through the first two games of the 2022-23 campaign. Nine separate Blackhawks players registered at least three hits in Thursday's contest, with Jarred Tinordi leading the team with five. This marks just the fourth time Chicago has had nine skaters post three-or-more hits in a single game since the NHL began tracking the stat in 2005-06. Tinordi currently leads the Blackhawks with 11 hits so far this season; Seth Jones ranks second on the team with nine hits through the first two games.

OPEN SEASON

Max Domi scored his first goal as a Blackhawk in the season opener against the Avalanche on Wednesday. He's scored points in six of the seven season-opening contests he's skated in, scoring in three of those season contests. Last year, Domi registered three points (1G, 2A) with Columbus. Jonathan Toews also scored on Wednesday, marking the third time he's scored in a season opener - the last time being on Oct. 4, 2018 in Ottawa (1G, 1A). Patrick Kane tallied an assist last night. He's tallied 18 points (7G, 11A) in 15 season-opening contests, which are the third-most points in Blackhawks history behind Bobby Hull (11G, 8A in 13 GP) and Stan Mikita (5G, 15A in 20 GP).
