McDavid is in the discussion for the best player in the league, and he is showing it again early this season. Edmonton's captain is also widely regarded as the fastest player in the NHL, making him particularly hard to defend against, and he has nine goals and nine assists thus far in 11 games.
Since entering the league as the first-overall pick in 2015, McDavid has compiled 96 goals and 178 assists for a total of 274 points in 220 games.
