PREVIOUS TRADES IN 2018-19:

The Blackhawks have executed a handful of trades already in 2018-19. They've already added a pair of top-six forwards and a defenseman who shows promise.
Nov. 25, 2018:Chicago sent Nick Schmaltz to Arizona for Dylan Strome and Brendan Perlini.
The Scoop:This trade has been fantastic for Chicago. While they had to part with a promising young player in Schmaltz, the Blackhawks added a dynamic number-two center in Strome.
The trade has been a fresh start for Strome. The 2015 third-overall pick had just 16 points (7G, 9A) in 48 games with the Coyotes. Since joining the Blackhawks, Strome has rekindled the chemistry he had with Alex DeBrincat in juniors with the Erie Otters and he has compiled 37 points (13G, 24A) in 38 games.

Perlini is also a player with first-round pedigree and adds speed and potential to the forward group. He has three goals and an assist in 29 games.
Dec. 30, 2018:The Blackhawks acquired Drake Caggiula and Jason Garrison from the Edmonton Oilers, in exchange for defenseman Brandon Manning and prospect Robin Norell.
The Scoop:Chicago was able to shed some salary while also adding a player who has fit in nicely on the team's top line for the last month. Caggiula has played on the left wing with Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane and has injected a lot of energy into the forward group.
Caggiula has played a complementary style, exhibiting physicality, energy and an ability to win puck battles which has helped Toews and Kane to flourish as a dynamic duo.

Jan.11, 2019:Chicago acquired Slater Koekkoek and a 2019 fifth-round pick from Tampa Bay in exchange for Jan Rutta and a seventh in 2019.
The Scoop:The Blackhawks have liked what Koekkoek has brought on the ice since joining the club. In addition to adding the 25-year-old defenseman, Chicago also jumped two rounds in the draft and shed a little salary.
Jan. 24, 2019:The Blackhawks flipped a 2019 fifth-round pick to the Los Angeles Kings for Czech prospect Dominik Kubalik.
The Scoop:The 2013 seventh-round pick of the Kings is currently HC Ambri-Piotta's leading scorer in the Swiss league with 53 points (23G, 30A) in 46 games. The winger is also the league's leading scorer.
Feb. 18, 2019:Chicago acquired Peter Holland from the New York Rangers in exchange for Darren Raddysh.
The Scoop:This swap of minor-league players helped add some scoring to the Rockford IceHogs. He had 20 goals and 49 total points in 52 games for the Rangers AHL affiliate before the trade. He also provides a potential depth forward to recall. He played 23 games in the NHL last season and 40 the year before that.
