AGAINST ST. LOUIS

The Blackhawks host St. Louis on Wednesday night at United Center for the third of four meetings between the clubs this season. Chicago holds a 1-1-0 record against the Blues this season, falling to the Blues, 3-2, on Dec. 12 at Enterprise Center. Andre Burakovsky (1G, 1A) and Connor Bedard (2A) each recorded two points, while Wyatt Kaiser scored one goal. Chicago defeated St. Louis, 8-3, at Enterprise Center on Oct. 15 where Connor Bedard (3A), Tyler Bertuzzi (1G, 1A), Ilya Mikheyev (1G, 1A) and Alex Vlasic (2A) each recorded multi-point games. Forward Ryan Donato has recorded points (6G, 9A) in 13 of his last 17 games against St. Louis and ranks second on the team with eight goals and 18 points in 27 career games against them.

The Blackhawks defeated the Vegas Golden Knights in overtime, 3-2, on Sunday evening at United Center. Tyler Bertuzzi scored three goals for his second hat trick of the season and fifth of his NHL career. Andre Burakovsky notched two assists while Artyom Levshunov tallied an assist and led all skaters with 23:39 of time on ice. Ryan Greene, Ilya Mikheyev and Alex Vlasic each logged an assist. Nick Foligno led the team with four hits as Ryan Donato appeared in his 200thcareer game as a Blackhawk. Arvid Soderblom played in his 100th career NHL game and made 13 saves for the victory. Chicago outshot Vegas, 20-15 and the 15 shots against are tied for the fewest given up by the Blackhawks in a game since Dec. 23, 2013 vs. New Jersey (12).

The Blackhawks are currently riding a three-game home win streak (2-0-1). Chicago went 1-for-1 (100%) on the penalty kill against Vegas on Sunday and rank third in the NHL with an 86.1% penalty kill percentage (62-for-72) at home this season. The Blackhawks rank eighth in the NHL with an average of 2.71 goals-against per game at home this season and the team has scored three-plus goals in 11 of their last 16 home games.

Forward Tyler Bertuzzi notched a hat trick on Sunday against Vegas and now shares 10th in the NHL and leads the club with 22 goals in 39 games this season. He’s one goal shy of matching his 23 goals in 82 games with the Blackhawks during the 2024-25 campaign. With his three goals against the Golden Knights, Bertuzzi became the fifth player in the NHL this season to record multiple hat tricks, joining Connor Bedard (2), Kiefer Sherwood (2), Logan Cooley (2) and Macklin Celebrini (2). Bertuzzi and Bedard also become the second pair of Blackhawks skaters since 1996 to each record multiple hat tricks in a season (Patrick Kane; 2 and Dylan Strome; 2).

Chicago forward Andre Burakovsky recorded two assists against Vegas on Sunday and is riding a three-game assist streak (5A). He’s one game shy of matching his season-long four-game point streak from Oct. 28-Nov. 3 (3G, 3A). Sunday’s game against the Golden Knights was Burakovsky’s eighth multi-point game of the season, which ranks third among all team skaters. Burakovsky has compiled 28 points (9G, 19A) in 37 games this season and ranks second on the team with 19 assists, third with 28 points, and shares fourth with nine goals.

Chicago goaltender Tony Esposito recorded a 21-save shutout against the Blues on Jan. 7, 1978 at St. Louis Arena. The two teams played to a 0-0 tie in the game. Esposito leads the Blackhawks all-time with seven shutouts against St. Louis.
