Blackhawks TV will release a four-part miniseries called "On The Clock," which takes fans behind the scenes as the Chicago Blackhawks prepare for the 2017 National Hockey League Draft at the United Center on Friday, June 23, and Saturday, June 24. Debuting Wednesday, June 7, each episode will be available for fans to view on chicagoblackhawks.com and on the team's official Facebook and Twitter pages.
The series, produced in collaboration with Banner Collective, will provide unprecedented access to the Blackhawks war room on draft day, as well as an exclusive peek into the process as Senior Vice President/General Manager Stan Bowman, Vice President of Amateur Scouting Mark Kelley and the Hockey Operations staff create a game plan to select future Blackhawks. Footage includes an all-access pass to the team's amateur scouting meetings prior to the draft, plus scouting visits to the Memorial Cup in Windsor, Ontario, and NHL Draft Combine in Buffalo.
"Stan, Mark and their scouting team have given our cameras extraordinary access," Senior Executive Director of Digital Content Adam Kempenaar said. "We are excited to take fans behind closed doors and show them everything that goes into evaluating talent and forming the draft list."
