Duby Player Pet

Each month, Wild.com will feature a Minnesota Wild player and his pet(s). This series also appears in Wild Magazine.
Devan Dubnyk enjoys the time he gets to spend with Penny, his 7-year-old Golden Retriever. Whether it's watching her play with his three sons or relaxing with her before a game, the veteran goaltender always finds time for his furry best friend.

Wild.com's Tricia Luna: Do you have a favorite pet memory, past or current?
Dubnyk: A couple, like when we first got Penny, it was pretty fun; she was 8 weeks old, so she was very, very small. Growing up, I had an Irish Setter retriever mix named Keisha. She was a pretty special dog to me. That's what made me want me to get a retriever when I was older.
TL: How are your three sons with Penny?
DD: They're really good. They're hit and miss. Our oldest is starting to like to spend more time with her now. Parker, our middle, doesn't really want to have anything to do with her. She always comes and licks his feet, and he's not impressed and the youngest - Meet the Spurgeons' Bernese Mountain Dog
