Minnesota Wild Foundation Giving Throughout the State of Hockey

The Minnesota Wild Foundation is committed to creating a greater State of Hockey by investing in two core priorities: advancing children's health and well-being and expanding access to Minnesota’s unique community-based hockey model. Through strategic funding, the Foundation supports initiatives that introduce more young people to the game, strengthen local hockey programs, and foster a more welcoming, inclusive future for hockey across Minnesota and beyond.

The Foundation brings this mission to life through annual grantmaking, fan-driven fundraising initiatives such as the Split the Pot Raffle, youth hockey program sales, online auctions, special events, and the generous support of Minnesota Wild fans, corporate partners, and community champions.

The 2025-26 season marked a record-breaking year of generosity and impact. Thanks to the unwavering support of our fans, donors and partners, the Minnesota Wild Foundation awarded a record $1.2 million in direct grants to 65 nonprofit organizations and 28 youth hockey associations throughout the State of Hockey. This support also extended to the Des Moines community through grants benefiting organizations served by the Iowa Wild, the Minnesota Wild's American Hockey League affiliate.

Approximately 67% of annual grant funding was directed toward hockey-related programs that increase participation, improve access, and strengthen community hockey, while the remaining 33% supported organizations dedicated to improving the health and well-being of children. Together, these investments are helping build healthier communities, create more opportunities for young people, and inspire the next generation both on and off the ice.
