The Stars finished the playoffs with a long list of injuries, including a labrum problem for Tyler Seguin's hip that is expected to require surgery and a possible four-month recovery.
General manager Jim Nill went down the list Thursday, citing just how hard players worked and how much pain they dealt with to get to Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final before bowing out to Tampa Bay.

"I was very proud of our team, proud of the players, the coaches, the staff, the trainers," Nill said. "The performance of our team was second to none. I'm so proud of everybody."
Seguin dealt with knee issues and hip issues and said after Game 6 that he was impressed with how his teammates battled through injuries.
"Going into that locker room, that trainer's room, and having to wait in line to get in because everyone's got ice bags on them," Seguin said. "The boys were grinding through."

Nill provides full injury report following season

Seguin is expected to have hip surgery at some point soon, Nill said Thursday, and then would require about four months of rehab. If the 2020-21 season starts Jan. 1, as the NHL would like, Seguin would not be in the lineup. However, Nill said he expects most of the other injured players would be ready.
Goalie Ben Bishop missed much of the postseason because he struggled after having arthroscopic surgery on his knee in May. He tried to recover but couldn't, Nill said.
"In the end, he just didn't have enough time to heal," Nill said. "It did not feel comfortable at all."
Bishop played in three playoff games and had an .844 save percentage. After allowing four goals on 19 shots against Colorado, he did not dress again even as a backup goalie.
Nill said Bishop should have time to recover now and should be ready for the start of the season whenever that comes.

Goalie Anton Khudobin also battled injury. He played through pain during the run to the Final and had surgery Wednesday to address some numbness in his hand. Nill said Khudobin, who can become an unrestricted free agent on Friday, should be ready to go in four or five weeks. Nill said they would like to re-sign Khudobin, but that he expects the 34-year-old goalie to first explore the free-agent market.
Stephen Johns played in four playoff games, but then just didn't feel comfortable, Nill said. Johns missed all of last season and a big part of the 2019-20 campaign because of post-traumatic headaches. He returned to play in 17 regular season games and looked good. He went through training camp, he played the first four games of the post-season but then he was unable to continue on while in the bubble
Nill has been cautious when speaking about Johns and said the 28-year-old defenseman needs to talk to his own doctors. But there is a chance he will not be able to continue his career, and his availability for next season definitely is in jeopardy.
Nill said Jamie Benn was playing through shoulder pain, that Blake Comeau dislocated his shoulder in the Tampa Bay series, and that Radek Faksa broke his wrist in the Vegas series. Both Comeau and Faksa did not return to play. Also out at the end was Roope Hintz, who suffered a fractured ankle in a collision along the boards. All four of those players should be ready to go when the 2020-21 season is ready to start.
Players who were battling injuries and still playing at the end included Miro Heiskanen (hip), Jason Dickinson (foot, hand), Esa Lindell (hand) and John Klingberg (shoulder).
