About the Stars
The Stars (4-5-3) are coming off a 4-3 overtime loss at Chicago Sunday that gave the Blackhawks a sweep of a home-and-home series between the two teams. The Stars tied the game with 1:20 left in regulation on a Gemel Smith goal, but the Stars couldn't take advantage of a power play in the extra period, and Chicago's Marian Hossa scored at even-strength with 28.7 seconds left in overtime.
"We're not getting the results right now, and it's a little bit frustrating," said Stars forward Patrick Eaves. "It was good we showed resilience out there and got that goal late. It would have been nice to have that extra point, but unfortunately we did not get it."
The Stars, who are down six forwards due to injury or illness, played defensemen Patrik Nemeth at forward in the game and fell to 1-3-2 in their past six games.

The Stars worked out off the ice on Monday.
Tuesday's game is the second of a five-game road trip for the Stars.
Injuries: C Jason Spezza (lower body) is day to day. RW Jiri Hudler (illness), RW Patrick Sharp (concussion), C Cody Eakin (knee), C/LW Mattias Janmark (knee) and RW Ales Hemsky (hip) are on injured reserve.
About the Jets
The Jets (5-7-1) loss 5-2 to the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden Sunday. The Jets and Rangers were tied 2-2 in the second period, but New York scored three goals in a 4:04 span of the second to blow the game open.
"It wasn't the result that we came for," Jets forward Patrik Laine said. "I think we played a strong first period but knew they were going to come hard in the second. They are maybe the best team in the league. We just didn't play our game in the second, and I think we lost because of that."
The Jets went 1-1-1 on a three-game road trip and fell to 1-3-1 over their past five games.
The Jets made big news off the ice Monday, signing D Jacob Trouba to a two-year, $6 million contract. When Trouba, who had been a restricted free agent, will join the team is still up in the air.
Injuries: D Tyler Myers (lower body), C Mathieu Perrault (upper body) and D Mark Stuart (lower body) are day to day. RW Joel Armia (lower body), C Bryan Little (lower body), RW Drew Stafford (upper body) and C Shawn Matthias (lower body) are on injured reserve.
