• The Kings visit Dallas on Friday night for the Stars' 2021-22 home opener. The first of three meetings this season, these clubs will meet in LA on Dec. 9 and wrap up the season series in Big D on March 2.
• The teams didn't meet in the 2020-21 season and faced each other only once in the 2019-20 campaign, a 2-1 win for the Stars.
• Defenseman Esa Lindell recorded an assist on both goals in the Stars' most recent game against the Kings. In 11 career appearances against LA, Lindell has five points (two goals, three assists) including one of his five career game-winning goals. The Vantaa, Finland native skated in his NHL debut against the Kings on Jan. 19, 2016, clocking 14:01 TOI and one shot on goal.
• Forward Alexander Radulov has six points (one goal, five assists) in his past five games against the Kings. Radulov, 35, has 18 points (three goals, 15 assists) in 16 career games against the Kings, and has recorded at least three points in a game three times, the second-most against any opponent (first: New Jersey).
• Goaltender Anton Khudobin backstopped the Stars in their most recent matchup against the Kings. He made 30 saves on 31 shots, helping Dallas to a 2-1 win on the road. In six career games against the Kings, Khudobin holds a 4-1-0 record, 1.58 goals-against average and a .946 save percentage.

No place like home

• The Stars' home opener on Friday comes at the end of a four-game road trip to start the season, the first time the Stars haven't opened their season at home since 2010-11.
• Dallas comes into Friday's contest having earned points in 22 of 27 home openers since the team moved to Dallas, boasting an 18-5-4 record and outscoring opponents 94-54 in those contests.
• The Stars hold a record of 6-3-1 in their past 10 home openers, including last season's 7-0 win against Nashville, in which nine different Dallas skaters recorded a point.
• Forward Joe Pavelski recorded four points (two goals, two assists) in last season's home opener, including the ice-breaking first goal which stood as the game winner. It was the first of three four-point games for Pavelski during the 2020-21 season.

• Forward Michael Raffl lit the lamp on Tuesday night against the Pittsburgh Penguins and now has goals in back-to-back outings.
• On Sunday afternoon against the Senators, he recorded a goal and an assist for his first multi-point game in a Stars uniform and the 24th game of his NHL career with two-or-more points.
• The forward has goals in consecutive contests for the first time since Dec. 23-27, 2018, when he was a member of the Philadelphia Flyers.

Smoking Policy - American Airlines Center is a smoke-free facility. Smoking, including electronic and/or vapor smoking devices are not permitted.
Cashless Transactions - Be sure to bring your debit/credit card to AAC for cashless transactions. No cash will be accepted.
