Papa Jake is a 101-year-old TikTok sensation with endless stories to tell. He is a WWII D-Day survivor and was awarded the Bronze Star, as well as the Legion of Honor from France.

At the Sharks game on March 7, Papa Jake was honored as our Southwest Military Service Hero.

Papa Jake's journey to TikTok fame started when his granddaughter posted her first video of him in 2020. People instantly fell in love with him and his stories.

Papa Jake and his family live in the Bay Area and have been longtime Sharks fans.

To start the night, President Jonathan Becher presented Papa Jake with a Sharks jersey with his age on the back.

Papa Jake shed a few tears and thanked Jonathan Becher with a hug.

Before heading to his suite for the night, Papa Jake wanted to tell a few stories about his experience in the military.

Sharks employees gathered around him as he told the story of how he joined the National Guard at just 15 years old.

After listening to his amazing stories, Team Teal Veterans took a moment to snap a picture with the Military hero.
