The San Jose Sharks are back on home ice tonight hosting the Florida Panthers in #StealthMode.
The Sharks are coming off a 5-4 win over the Winnipeg Jets. Joe Pavelski lifted the team to victory late in regulation, scoring the game-winning goal with four seconds remaining on the clock. Pavelski scored both game-winning goals against the Jets this season, one of which was in overtime. Marc-Edouard Vlasic recorded his first three-point game of the season to lead all skaters. Gustav Nyquist registered his first multi-goal game as a Shark, Joe Thornton earned his fourth multi-assist game this year and Marcus Sorensen logged his fifth multi-point effort. Joe Thornton passed S. Mikita for 14th on the all-time points list and tied J. Iginla for 13th on the all-time games played list.
Tonight Team Teal looks to extend their current six-game win streak as they face the Florida Panthers for the final regular season meeting. Last game on January 21, the Sharks dropped 6-2 to the Panthers in Florida. The Sharks remain ahead of the Western Division by one point and could potentially clinch their playoff berth as early as tonight.
