Tonight the San Jose Sharks wrap up the regular season against the Colorado Avalanche for Fan Appreciation Night presented by SAP.
The Sharks are coming off a satisfying 3-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday. Marcus Sorensen, Brent Burns, and Gus Nyquist scored for the Sharks, with Burns reaching the 80 point mark for the first time in his career. Joe Thornton also recorded an assist to pass Steve Yzerman for 8th all-time in assists in NHL history.
This is the third time the Sharks and Avalanche meet this season. The Sharks have taken the previous two games. The previous time these two met on March 1, the Sharks won 4-3 thanks to two goals by Marcus Sorensen.
