20190121-gameday

Welcome to the Gameday Blog, which will be updated throughout the day with news, lineup information, videos, and tweets.
It's the penultimate game before the All-Star break for the San Jose Sharks, as tonight they pay a visit to the Florida Panthers on the first half of a back-to-back.
This is the first game of the season between the Panthers and Sharks, which is a bit surprising given how Eastern Conference-heavy the Sharks schedule has been thus far.
The Sharks are coming off a disappointing 6-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday. Evander Kane scored twice, extending his point streak to three games, while Marcus Sorensen scored his 10th goal of the season to become the eighth member of the Sharks to reach double digits in goals. That is tied for the most in the NHL.
The Sharks made a minor move yesterday, calling up defenseman Jake Middleton from the San Jose Barracuda and placing Marc-Edouard Vlasic on injured reserve. Vlasic hasn't played since January 2.

Sharks fans can tune into tonight's game on NBCSCA. In addition, Sharks fans can listen on 98.5 KFOX or the Sharks radio network, or tune in on the Sharks + SAP Center app.
