Welcome to the Gameday Blog, which will be updated throughout the day with news, lineup information, videos, and tweets.
Tonight the Sharks continue their Eastern Conference road trip against the Columbus Blue Jackets as they begin a set of back-to-back games.
The Sharks are coming off a satisfying 4-0 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday. Martin Jones stopped all 26 shots he faced, while Tomas Hertl continued his terrorization of the Penguins by scoring two goals. Brent Burns also earned his 56th assist of the season, which is his career high and a franchise-best for assists by a defenseman.
The last time the Sharks and Blue Jackets met, the Blue Jackets came away with the victory. Kevin Labanc scored the lone goal for the Sharks. This is the final time these two teams will meet this season.
Both teams will look slightly different from last time. Micheal Haley, who was claimed off of waivers by the Sharks on Wednesday, has already made an impact for the team in the game against Pittsburgh. Meanwhile, the Blue Jackets acquired Matt Duchene from the Senators yesterday, and he is expected to be able to play tonight.
Sharks fans can tune into tonight's game on NBCSCA. In addition, Sharks fans can listen on 98.5 KFOX or the Sharks radio network, or tune in on the Sharks + SAP Center app.
