OTTAWA - The
Ottawa Senators
announced today that the team has signed forward Micheal Haley to a one-year, two-way contract. The agreement holds a value $700,000 in the National Hockey League and $200,000 in the American Hockey League.

A native of Guelph, Ont., Haley spent the 2019-20 campaign with the N.Y. Rangers and registered one point (one goal) and 50 penalty minutes over 22 games.
"Micheal will bring experience, leadership and additional physicality to our organization," said Senators general manager Pierre Dorion. "He's looking forward to serving as a mentor for our young players."
Undrafted, Haley was originally signed to an entry-level contract by the N.Y. Islanders ahead of the 2008-09 season. He has since skated in 270 NHL games with the Islanders, Rangers, San Jose Sharks and Florida Panthers, recording 32 points (11 goals, 21 assists) and 687 penalty minutes. He's been held scoreless over 13 NHL post-season contests, including 11 games with San Jose in 2019 while helping the Sharks advance to the Western Conference Final.
