The Sens have a chance to sweep their Western Canadian road trip tonight in Edmonton at 10 p.m. and we've got 5 things you need to know before puck drop.

1. The offence exploded in Calgary

After three consecutive shootout nailbiters to start the season, the Sens offence went off in Calgary last night and delivered a no doubter. Six different Senators (Cody Ceci, Derick Brassard, Mike Hoffman, Mark Stone, Ryan Dzingel and Chris Wideman) found the back of the net against the Flames but it was their total team play that resulted in such a lopsided victory.
"We saw some unselfish play from everyone," said Brassard post-game. "Blocking shots, making plays, playing defence...we saw it all tonight. It was good to see guys get rewarded with some goals."
Kyle Turris lead the way offensively with 3 assists while Brassard, Stone and Ceci each had a goal and an assist in the win. Thomas Chabot, playing in his third career NHL game, registered his first NHL point on a great feed to Dzingel in the third period.

The Sens power play also got on the board last night with Hoffman and Wideman delivering their goals on the man advantage and Brassard scoring another just as a Flames penalty expired.
"That's three power play goals tonight," Boucher said after the win. "What I like is that we didn't change anything. It's the same as what we've done in the last games so we persisted. All that was missing was our pucks on net. We were trying to go around and around and around and that wasn't what we were looking for."

2. Anderson among league's best

In a game where it's easy to talk about all the scoring, Craig Anderson (2-0-2) put together another solid effort in net earning his first shutout of the season. Anderson now sits firmly in the top 10 in the NHL for GAA (1.65) and sv% (.937) and via @PR_NHL on Twitter he moved up another list last night...

After the win, Anderson credited the team's effort in front of him.
"I think the hardest thing to defend is thier neutral zone speed. They've got a lot of quick guys over there and we were able to stiffle them a little bit."

3. Condon's turn

Anderson has been stellar this season in all 4 games but with the Sens set to play their first of a league-high 19 back-to-back contests tonight against the Oilers, indications are that Mike Condon will step into the crease for Ottawa. Confirmation still needs to come from the coach but he addressed the back-to-back scenario yesterday and wanted to lead the weekend with a red hot Craig Anderson...a decision which paid off.
Condon, who signed a three-year extension during the off-season, appeared in 40 games for the Senators last season and finished with a record of 19-14-6. 27 of those 40 appearances were in consecutive games which is insane and with all those aforementioned back-to-back scenarios this season, Condon could see his fair share of the net again this year.

4. Previous meeting

These teams last faced off in Ottawa back on January 8th, 2017 with the Sens outgunning the Oilers by a 5-3 final. Mark Stone was the man offensively for the Senators notching a goal and a pair of assists while Condon was steady stopping 35 of the 38 shots he faced to earn the decision.
