May 4, 1998: The National Hockey League officially announced the Nashville Predators as the 27th franchise in League history.
May 3, 2011: The Nashville Predators played their first game in the month of May before a sellout crowd of 17,113 at Bridgestone Arena, Game 3 of a Round Two matchup against the Vancouver Canucks in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

May 21, 2014: Phil Housley, the all-time leading scorer among U.S.-born NHL defensemen, is named an assistant coach. Housley has since become the head coach of the Buffalo Sabres.

May 6, 2014: Peter Laviolette is named the franchise's second head coach, while Kevin McCarthy also joins the organization as an assistant coach. Laviolette has since guided the Preds to a postseason berth in each of his four seasons behind the bench, including the franchise's first trip to the Stanley Cup Final in 2017. McCarthy now holds the title of associate coach.
May 5, 2016:In Game 3 of their Second Round series, the Predators and San Jose Sharks play the longest game in franchise history, with Nashville prevailing on a Mike Fisher goal 11:12 into triple overtime.

May 10, 2016: Facing elimination on home ice for the second consecutive series in Game 6 of their Round Two meeting with San Jose, the Preds received a goal from rookie Viktor Arvidsson at 2:03 of overtime to again force a Game 7.

May 7, 2017: The Nashville Predators beat the St. Louis Blues in Game 6 of the Second Round series to advance to the Western Conference Final for the first time.
May 22, 2017:Led by a Colton Sissons hat trick, the Nashville Predators beat the Anaheim Ducks in Game 6 of the Western Conference Final to advance - for the first time in franchise history - to the Stanley Cup Final.

May 2, 2018: The Nashville Predators Foundation's philanthropic pursuits reached new heights with the largest grant allocation in the organization's history with 149 grants totaling $607,639.32 distributed to area charities. Between the grants and other charitable donations, such as player ticket programs and fund-raising efforts, the Foundation put more than $1 million back into the community during the 2017-18 season.
