The virtual Predators started off the NHL20 Stanley Cup Final by putting a half-dozen pucks in the net.
Mikael Granlund tallied twice, and Nashville defeated the Philadelphia Flyers by a 6-3 score in Game 1 of the Final on Tuesday night. The contest was part of Nashville's continued simulation of the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs using EA Sports' NHL20 video game.
Calle Jarnkrok, Craig Smith, Filip Forsberg and Ryan Johansen also scored for the Preds as the visitors doubled up on the Flyers to begin the fourth and final series of the postseason. After Philadelphia scored first, Nashville responded with four straight.

Granlund's second of the night - and eighth of the playoffs - came late in the second stanza, and Johansen sealed the win in the third. Goaltender Pekka Rinne made 26 saves for his 13th victory of the playoffs, and the Preds are now just three wins away from virtual glory.
For the first time, each of the simulation games are airing on FOX Sports Tennessee and on the FOX Sports GO app. Each contest is called by the Predators television duo of Willy Daunic and Chris Mason, with coverage of the games expanded to include additional pregame, intermission and postgame content.
The series is also continuing to stream live on @PredsNHL Twitter, Twitch, Facebook and YouTube. Television coverage of the virtual Stanley Cup Final begins at 7 p.m. CT for every game and precedes the Golden Classic series, which is re-airing games from the Predators' run to the Stanley Cup Final in 2017 (those games now start at 8 p.m.). Coverage of the Stanley Cup Final on @PredsNHL social media begins at 7:15 p.m.
Game 2 between the Preds and the Flyers comes on Thursday night. A full schedule, as well as the full replay of Game 1, may be seen below.
