Nashville, Tenn. (March 19, 2023) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the team has recalled defenseman Jordan Gross from Milwaukee (AHL).

Gross, 27 (5/9/95), has appeared in 10 games for Nashville this season, tallying three goals and 20 shots on goal. In the Predators' shootout victory at Vancouver on Nov. 5, he became the first defenseman in team history to score his first two career NHL goals in the same game; he also added a goal in his last appearance for Nashville on Dec. 19 vs. Edmonton. The 5-foot-10, 190-pound native of Maple Grove, Minn., leads all Admirals blueliners in goals (8) and points (31) and shares the lead in assists (23) this season, his first with the organization, in 45 games.
Undrafted, Gross has played in 20 career NHL games since making his League debut on Dec. 22, 2019 with Arizona, tallying seven points (3g-4a). In parts of five AHL campaigns, Gross has amassed 150 points (33g-117a) in 224 games, including an active streak of four consecutive seasons with at least 25 points. Last season, Gross earned a spot on the AHL's First All-Star Team and won the Eddie Shore Award, given to the league's most outstanding defenseman, after recording 65 points (10g-55a) in 61 games for the Colorado Eagles. In addition to leading all AHL blueliners in points and assists (55) - both of which stood as career highs - he also equaled his previous top marks in games played (61) and goals (10) last season. Prior to turning pro, Gross played four seasons at the University of Notre Dame from 2014-18, winning the Big Ten regular-season and tournament championship while being named to the conference's First All-Star and All-Tournament teams as a senior in 2017-18.
