Nashville, Tenn. (March 20, 2019) - The Nashville Predators, in partnership with the National Hockey League, announced key details surrounding the 2020 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic, to be hosted at historic Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas, Texas. The Predators will face off against the Dallas Stars on Jan. 1, 2020.

In a press conference held Wednesday at Cotton Bowl Stadium, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman was joined by Predators General Manager David Poile, Chairman Herb Fritch and representatives from the NHLPA, Bridgestone and Dallas Stars, among others, to share information regarding the Winter Classic. Wednesday's announcement included details on the ticket on sale timeline and broadcasting rights.

Starting April 1, the Predators will release tickets to a variety of groups, including current partners, full and half Season-Ticket Citizens, mini-plan holders and members of Preds Perks, Golden U, Kids Club and Ford Ice Center programs. On April 16, the Predators will open the Smashville Presale, making tickets available to subscribers of the team's "This Week in Smashville" email communication. Those who participate in the Smashville Presale will have the opportunity to sit in the Predators fan section while quantities last.

"It is a true credit to our fanbase that Nashville has been selected as a participant in the 2020 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic," Predators SVP of Premium Sales and Youth Hockey, Nat Harden said. "We anticipate a strong showing of fans in Gold at Cotton Bowl Stadium on New Year's Day, and we are excited to offer a presale beginning April 1."

The 2020 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic will be the first-ever, regular-season outdoor game appearance for both Nashville and Dallas. Although the 2020 event will mark the 12-year anniversary of the NHL Winter Classic, it will be the first game of its kind to be played in the South. The game will be broadcast live on NBC, Sportsnet and TVA Sports at 12 p.m. (CT).
