The Good Guys

  • Filip Forsberg will skate in his 600th career NHL game Friday at Anaheim. Forsberg (483) passed Martin Erat (481) and moved into sole possession of third place on the Predators' all-time points list on Nov. 8 at Seattle. Forsberg is tied for first on Nashville in points this season with 26 (10g-16a), and he is five points from becoming the third player in team history to reach the 500-point milestone.
  • The Predators recalled defenseman Roland McKeown from Milwaukee (AHL) on Thursday. McKeown previously appeared in three games for Nashville from Dec. 12-15, averaging 13:44 of ice time with four blocked shots and six penalty minutes.
  • Roman Josi recorded his 566th and 567th career points last Wednesday at Chicago to pass David Legwand (566) for the most in Predators history. Josi became the second defenseman to lead an active NHL franchise in points, joining Boston's Ray Bourque. He has 26 points (7g-19a) in his last 26 games after tallying an assist for his 568th career point in last Friday's OT loss to Colorado.
  • Prior to missing Tuesday's game vs. Dallas for the birth of his third child, Matt Duchene had recorded a point in five straight games dating back to Dec. 15 at Winnipeg (4g-1a-5pts). Duchene (10g-16a-26pts) is tied with Josi (7g-19a-26pts) and Forsberg (10g-16a-26pts) for the team lead in points this season.

The Other Guys

The Ducks snapped a three-game skid with a 3-2 shootout victory over the Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday. With the win, Anaheim improved to 5-2-0 in games decided beyond regulation this season, and 5-1-0 in those games on home ice. The Ducks also moved to 10-22-4 on the season, with points in four of their last six games (3-2-1).
Troy Terry, who tallied two assists in Wednesday's victory, leads the Ducks with 31 points (12g-19a). His 12 goals are also a team high.

All-Time Meetings

The Predators are 36-31-(2)-11 all-time against the Ducks, including an 11-20-(0)-8 record on the road. This is the second of three matchups between Nashville and Anaheim in 2022-23 and the first of two at Honda Center.
Nashville is 1-0-0 against Anaheim this season, earning a 2-1 overtime victory at home on Nov. 29 in which Roman Josi scored the OT winner for the Predators. Nashville has earned at least a point in 13 of its last 15 games against Anaheim (10-2-3).
