Two new sheets of ice have come to Nashville.
The grand opening of Ford Ice Center Bellevue will take place on Oct. 12, as the facility officially becomes the second of its kind in Middle Tennessee operated by the Nashville Predators.
"We can't wait to open this facility," Ford Ice Center General Manager Danny Butler said. "We're excited to have two more sheets of ice in Nashville, which will provide hockey players and figure skaters from all over the state and beyond further opportunities to do what they love. This project will be a huge benefit to Bellevue, West Nashville and the surrounding communities, and we're pleased to have the Predators logo at the forefront."

The celebrations will begin at 2 p.m. (CT) in the Ford Ice Center Bellevue parking lot, complete with inflatables, children's activities and Preds mascot GNASH. At 3 p.m., Ford Ice Center Bellevue will host a special presentation and ribbon-cutting ceremony. Following the ceremony, the doors will open for fans to go inside, check out the state-of-the-art facility and participate in a public skating session on the brand new ice.
Following the public skate, Ford Ice Center Bellevue's second-floor restaurant, Draft Picks, will host its first Nashville Predators watch party as the Preds visit the Los Angeles Kings at 5 p.m. CT.
The entire event will be open to the public and will kick off the start of the Ford Ice Center Bellevue's hockey and skating programs - and there truly is something for everyone.
It wasn't all that long ago when ground was broken on the facility back in June of 2018, with representatives from the Predators front office, members of the Metro Government of Nashville and Davidson County, the Office of the Mayor, Sports Authority of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the Nashville Board of Parks and Recreation all on hand to commemorate the partnership.
Now, just over a year later, what was once a pile of dirt has become two new sheets of ice, a full-service bar and restaurant, a Perani's Hockey World, a Twice Daily location and so much more.
Now, it's ready for you, the residents of Nashville, Middle Tennessee and beyond. Check out a full list of upcoming programs in Bellevue:
