The Penguins conclude their season-opening road trip as they visit the Florida Panthers at FLA Live Arena. The Penguins are facing the Panthers for the first time since February 8, 2020 - a 3-2 win for the team in Florida. Kris Letang recorded multiple points in the win (1G-1A). The Penguins have points in 15 of their last 18 meetings versus the Panthers (12-3-3 record) dating back to December 20, 2014. Carter, who was acquired at the trade deadline last season (April 12, 2021), has been exceptional since joining Pittsburgh. He scored nine goals and chipped in with two assists in the Penguins' final 14 regular-season games, helping the team go 10-3-1 during that stretch and secure the ninth division title in team history. After notching an assist in Pittsburgh's season opener, he now has 12 points (9G-3A) in his last 15 games.
