Carter-400

Forward Jeff Carter enters the 2021-22 season one goal shy of 400 in his career. When he scores his next goal, Carter will become the seventh active player, and third current Penguin, to reach 400 NHL goals. Carter, who was acquired at the trade deadline last season (April 12, 2021), has been exceptional since joining Pittsburgh. He scored nine goals and chipped in with two assists in the Penguins' final 14 regular-season games, helping the team go 10-3-1 during that stretch and secure the ninth division title in team history.
