After a tough three-game road trip in which the Blackhawks failed to come out on top, the team now shifts their focus going against the top-spot Boston Bruins on Tuesday night.
"It's a big challenge., and people will [be watching to] see how we measure up against them," head coach Luke Richardson said. "So we want to use this, and I'm sure all the players, whether it's your first opportunity with like a couple guys, or as a new opportunity for guys have been here all year, to try and keep [Boston] in check."

Earlier this season when the Blackhawks played the Bruins in Boston in November, the result was a lopsided 6-1. This time, the team hopes to start strong out of the gate and limit their offensive chances.
The Blackhawks are 13-18-3 at home this season, with eight of those coming after Jan. 1.
"We've been playing very well at home since the new year, and we want to continue," Richardson said. "We want to build on this as a place that you have to be ready to play at.

BUDDY IS BACK

The Blackhawks recalled Buddy Robinson as well as Mike Hardman
on Monday
. Robinson has tallied 19 points in 45 games with the IceHogs this season, while Hardman has added 16 in 49 games. He's been able to serve as a veteran leader in Rockford as they fight for a playoff spot.
"The coaches there prepare us for anytime you get an opportunity to come up like this," Robinson said. "So we play the same systems, the same way they play up here, so this should be a seamless transition."
For 31-year-old Robinson, each and every opportunity to play at the NHL is one that he does not take for granted.
"For me, it's just about going out there and playing with confidence at the highest level knowing that I compete against the best players in the world and just enjoying every moment of it," he said. "You're always thinking, maybe it'll be me next to get the next opportunity, but you can only be thinking about stuff you can control."
The 6-foot-6 forward can allow for more physicality againt a talented and tough Boston team with an average height of 6-foot-1.
"I thought I'd try and play [physical like Boston does]," he said. "They get hard down the wall for checking hard and making it tough on their defense so hopefully I'll be able to wear them down a little."
With Robinson and some other younger Rockford players a part of the team, Richardson noted the varitey of rookies to veterans within the lineup helped the team develop and mature tremendously.
"It's a huge value to have him here, to show the younger guys [to] keep that dream going, keep pushing, keep doing the right things. And, you know, it's great to see Buddy getting another opportunity," he said. "I think the organization did a great job bringing guys like that in there that have great attitudes and push the right way. That's what you want to surround your young, talented guys like right with down there and who are able to come up and help here at this level."
