roundup 3-21-19

Good morning and welcome to the latest edition of Rats Roundup!
Aleksander Barkov continues his climb in the record books, #PanthersPalooza is set and more! Sit back, relax and catch up on all the latest Panthers news!

Barkov's a Beast

It has been a career year for Aleksander Barkov, as he continues his torrid scoring pace up numerous franchise record lists. Currently sitting at an already career-high 87 points, the next milestone in his sights is Pavel Bure's single-season points record of 94, which Bure accomplished in the 2000-01 season.
Barkov is also chasing Jonathan Huberdeau for most assists in a single season, as both players each have 53 and 59 respectively. Additionally, Barkov can tie Olli Jokinen for fifth all-time in goals scored in a single season with two more tallies.
With eight games left in the regular season, fans can enjoy watching Barkov try to see just how high he can go in his reach for the record books.
Plus, Jameson Olive and Doug Plagens discussed Barkov's play as of late, and where they think he will finish up the season on the latest episode of Territory Talk!

Protect the Panther

Florida's state animal since 1987, the Florida panther is currently one of the most endangered mammals in the entire world, with only an estimated 180 to 200 left living in the wild as of 2017.
So, in an effort to help an animal that the organization has long considered to be much more than a mascot, the Panthers will be hosting their fourth-annual Panther Conservation Night on Saturday, March 23, when the Boston Bruins visit BB&T Center for a 7 p.m. puck drop.
The Panthers will host several partners at the event, with each organization in attendance helping answer questions and providing ways that fans can support and save the panther. These organizations include:
• Florida Wild-Path of the Panther
• Zoo Miami
• Palm Beach Zoo
• FIU • Florida Wildlife Federation
• Museum of Discovery and Science
A portion of all tickets purchased HERE will support conservation efforts.
