Larronde, a U.S. Army veteran who served from 1997 to 2013, was featured as the Panthers 'Hero Among Us' in the match-up against Edmonton. During his tour of duty, Larronde was deployed to Bosnia and Iraq. He is the recipient of the Purple Heart, Combat Infantryman Badge and an Iraq Campaign Medal with a Campaign Star.
Recently, the native of Queens, N.Y., successfully completed the Military Warriors Support Foundation's three-year family and financial mentorship program made possible through the sponsorship of Walmart and their partners. Through their foundation, Larronde was awarded the deed to his mortgage-free South Florida home in South Florida.
