EDMONTON, AB - Oilers forward prospect Raphael Lavoie scored for the second game in a row on Friday to give him nine goals in Sweden's HockeyAllsvenskan this season.
The 20-year-old tallied Vasby's third and final goal against Timra in a 5-3 defeat, netting the equalizer on the power play in the middle frame before the opposition scored twice in the third for the win.
His ninth goal in 19 games this season came two days after he lit the lamp for his eighth during Wednesday's 7-2 loss to MODO. Lavoie also has three assists for 12 total points in his first professional endeavour on loan from the Oilers organization.
The 38th-overall pick in 2019 is just three goals off the HockeyAllsvenskan lead, as Oskar Steen of Bjorkloven and Henrik Bjorklund of Karlskoga are tied for first with a dozen each.
Lavoie scored 38 goals in 55 games in the QMJHL during the 2019-20 season.
