WEBER, CANADIENS STAY HOT IN BROOKLYN

* Elias notes that the Canadiens, who set a team record by starting 9-0-0 in 2015-16, are the fifth team in NHL history to have back-to-back seasons when they had at least one point in each of its first seven games. The other four: the Edmonton Oilers (1983-84 & 1984-85), Tampa Bay Lightning (2002-03 & 2003-04), Minnesota Wild (2007-08 & 2008-09) and San Jose Sharks (2012-13 & 2013-14).
* Weber has at least one point in six of seven games, and leads the Canadiens with three goals and nine points. All three of his goals have come on the power play, with two counting as game-winners.
