Status report
Pettersson and Ruhwedel went through the final stage of NHL COVID-19 protocol, which included cardiac screening, assistant coach Todd Reirden said. Neither defensemen is on the trip, but each skated Tuesday at the Penguins' practice facility. … Entwistle was placed on long-term injured reserve and the forward will miss approximately 4-6 weeks. … Borgstrom, a forward, will not play because of a non-COVID-19 illness. … Hagel will be evaluated Wednesday. Coach Derek King said the Blackhawks are hopeful the forward will miss only one game. … Kalynuk will take part in warmups but the defenseman will not play.
