Players to watch

Flyers forward Nolan Patrick got his first NHL point against the Ducks at Honda Center on Oct. 7, 2017, assisting on a goal by Ivan Provorov in a 3-2 overtime win. Patrick likely will play on the top power-play unit after practicing there Monday.
Ducks forward Pontus Aberg scored two goals in a 4-3 overtime loss to the San Jose Sharks on Sunday. Aberg was playing his sixth game for Anaheim since being claimed off waivers from the Edmonton Oilers on Oct. 1.

Aube-Kubel, who was called up from Lehigh Valley of the American Hockey League on Sunday, will make his NHL debut. He had seven points (three goals, four assists) in eight AHL games. … Miller is expected to start after Gibson faced 127 shots in three games last week.
