The Rangers, who have points in five of their past six games (2-1-3), have scored at least three goals in each of those games but have allowed at least four in six of their past seven.

Players to watch

Rangers forward Kevin Hayes has 10 points (four goals, six assists) during a five-game point streak.
Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews has six points (three goals, three assists) in his past two games and became the only Maple Leafs player since Wendel Clark in 1993-94 to score 19 goals in his first 21 games in the modern era (since 1943-44) with two goals in a 6-1 win against the Florida Panthers on Thursday.

They said it

"Discipline and not forcing things that are not there. They're a team you compare them to maybe Tampa Bay, if you make a mistake they're pretty fast to expose you. It's a game where patience will be extremely important and puck management I think." -- Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist
"If you look after the puck, we're a team that can have a lot of success so that's got to be a priority here for us tonight playing a good Rangers team. We really believe if we can get rolling around in the offensive zone that we have enough weapons and skill that we're going to hurt you." -- Maple Leafs coach Mike Babcock
