Jack Wallace at Devils game

The New Jersey Devils welcomed a second Jack and a second gold medal to Prudential Center on Sunday.

Before their game against the Chicago Blackhawks, the Devils honored Paralympian Jack Wallace to the arena and, of course, he brought his gold bling.

After a pregame tribute video, Wallace made his way to center ice, where he was met by Devils forward Jack Hughes (who earned the 2026 Olympic gold medal with Team USA last month) and Blackhawks forward Connor Bedard for the ceremonial puck drop.

Wallace, a New Jersey native, helped lead the Team USA Paralympic team to its fifth consecutive gold medal victory, scoring a hat trick in the championship game against Team Canada.

He also won gold medals in 2018 in PyeongChang and 2022 in Beijing.

Wallace had his right leg amputated above the knee in 2008 and started sled skating as early as 2010. Along with his three Paralympic gold medals, he’s earned four World Championship golds with Team USA.
