Panthers defenseman Seth Jones accessorized his outfit with a retro wireless white phone, which he said he purchased on Amazon.

“What a way to come to a Winter Classic,” Lundell said. “We were just talking about how unique and how cool the experience has been so far.”

Panthers coach Paul Maurice joked that “appropriately” he arrived on the bus.

“Bus or cab is more my speed. I did like the motorcycles, though,” Maurice said in a pregame press conference. “There’s a section here that’s not for anybody else but the players. That’s a good thing, right. …They kind of came up with it on their own. … They are not afraid to show some personality and be relaxed understanding the context that when that puck drops, it’s on, we got to win this game.”

The Rangers arrived in all-white outfits to stay cool in the Florida heat.

Rangers forward Will Cuylle revealed the team came up with outfit idea together.

“I think it was a bit of a group effort and we tried to mix a beach theme but not come in bathing suits to be a little bit more professional, so we thought the all-white was a good solution to that,” Cuylle said before the game.

Cuylle and Rangers defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov completed their looks with sunglasses that they sported during the pregame press conference.
